I am happy to share a lesson plan about the importance of the Juneteenth Holiday created by Jennifer Stagner. Jennifer is a Social Studies and English teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area, and mother of four rambunctious boys. Her life-long passion is promoting positive systemic change at all levels of society.
She created the lesson plan, which can be downloaded below, after we talked about a Linkedin article she wrote on June 22 about Juneteenth. We finally decided that it would be great if she created a lesson plan to accompany her article. I helped her create a fillable pdf document of the handouts she includes in her lesson plan, so that they can be completed anywhere and on any device.
And, here is Jennifer’s lesson plan! I encourage you all to use it and share it with as many people as possible.
